We Finally have the SpaceX of India - and you've got to know about it !

SpaceX has been known in the international community as the most successful private space company ever- and for various reasons. But, undoubtedly, it has also contributed to the progress of its own country- America. After all, America won't be able to launch humans for years if it hadn't been for SpaceX.

India had been lacking a SpaceX, until now.

As we progress, we get closer to our goal. Space agencies of this world with a lot of hard work have brought us closer to a new era- THE ERA OF SPACE.
Space X like private organizations have boosted the space progress in their respective countries and so will Sky Root aerospace.

About the Company

  • Skyroot Aerospace Private Limited is an Indian private aerospace manufacturer and commercial launch service provider located in Hyderabad, Telangana.
  • The Company was founded by former engineers and scientists from ISRO, DRDO and various aerospace companies and aims to develop and launch its own series of Vikram series of small lift launch vehicles.
  • Skyroot Aerospace was formed in January 2017 by former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientists Pawan Kumar Chandana, Naga Bharath Daka and Vasudevan Gnanagandhi and a small group of entrepreneurs who self-funded the company.

The Rocket

They have designed the rocked named "Vikram".
  • Vikram, named after Dr Vikram Sarabhai, the father of Indian Space Program, is a series of launch vehicles especially crafted for the small satellite market.
  • Built on a common architecture and covering a wide range of payloads, they offer the most affordable and on-demand ride to space.
  • This will be in direct competition with New Zealand's Rocket Lab, which is also targetting the small satellite market
  • It can carry a payload of :
225 kg to 500 km SSPO.
315 kg to 45ยบ inclination 500 km LEO.

  • Other specialities include -
Highly reliable solid propulsion stages with proven design heritage.
     Miniaturized and Modern Avionics.
     Ultra-Lowshock Pneumatic separation.
(Even we don't understand these, but this sounds cool.)
  • The Vikram II and Vikram III are modifications to the Vikram I- Just bigger and with higher and higher payload capacities, but the advanced Cryogenic Methalox engine replaces the third stage of Vikram 1.
  • The Vikram III also has additional low cost Strapped on Solid Rocket Boosters
(WE LOVE ROCKETS WITH SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS!!! )

The Engine

Skyroot is using a unique way to make their engine - 3D printing.
The Dhawan-1 rocket engine was aptly unveiled on the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of Dr. Satish Dhawan.
According to a statement released by the Startup, it said that the engine has been named after the celebrated scientist and mathematician to honour and respect his critical role in the development of the Indian space sector and taking ISRO to new heights of success during his term as the ISRO Chairman in 1972.

Skyroot Aerospace also mentioned that the Dhawan-1 rocket engine in a completely 3D printed cryogenic engine and proudly revealed that it is 100% “Made in India” product.
They will use LNG as fuel. Liquid Natural gas (LNG) is a clean-burning, low-cost, highly-reusable, and safe cryogenic fuel, which is also ideal for long-duration deep space missions carrying satellites or human, so we think its a good choice....

Achievements
Skyroot has also nailed some achievements -
It became India's first private company to test its upper-stage rocket engine,
We can confirm that they have a great website (better than the ISRO website)

They were awarded as India's Best startup in the national startup awards 2020.
Merely some months ago Skyroot Aerospace had successfully test-fired its upper stage rocket engine fitted with a 100% 3D printed injector – a part of its Vikram I launch vehicle. The Vikram-1 is under manufacturing and is expected to be launched in December 2021. The vehicle is equipped with an Orbit Adjustment Module (OAM) at the top, which provides the final burn, and can insert multiple satellites into space.
and we are sure that list will keep getting bigger and bigger as the company continues to thrive.

Rewriting Spacebot: Part1 - Deciding features and tech stack

Why Rewrite? The answer is very simple: I'm not really happy with the current state of Spacebot. Its growth is slowing down, I'm less motivated to work on the project because of just how basic it is. But this is gonna change now. Deciding the features I don't just want to make Spacebot multipurpose, I wanna make it a *good* multipurpose bot.  That is, every feature that I add to SpaceBot should also add a considerable amount of value to any discord community, which is what I think Spacebot lacked earlier. It has like 60 utility commands but most of them aren't done well. Spacebot has these features currently:  Very bad moderation  Very bad "Fun" commands  Kinda useful Utility commands but most aren't good  Kinda good Music system, I might just keep the music system as it is in the rewrite (with a few visual changes) And then there's button roles, Discord together and stuff. Which isnt really good tbh What I want to include in the rewrite: Moderation, A

How Starship will change the world

By Dhravya Shah and Sushant Pulipati We all have dreamt of seeing humans on Mars one day. Well, there is one man who will surely get us there. Elon musk.  Elon Musk                         What would you do if you are a millionaire and a vision to change the world?  Of course, you would make a space company with only 1 dream - GET TO MARS .  This is how Starship will change humanity - FOREVE R Starship is a rocket, designed by space company SpaceX. If it becomes successful, it will be by far the most efficient rocket ever designed. Why? Well,  Imagine if you have a paper aeroplane, you throw it once, and then you have to throw it in the dustbin, Waste of resources, RIGHT? You use your energy, time and paper to make an aeroplane, just to throw it once? That's where reusability comes in.  Normally, rockets are flown once and then thrown away in the ocean. All space companies do this.  EXCEPT for  SpaceX.  SpaceX has been reusing the first stage of their rockets (Falcon 9 and Falcon

Nokia - Connecting..... Earth to Moon ?

Nokia has always been nostalgic for the general population, but, after it got defeated by the iPhone in 2007, it has been almost dead, Until now. Nokia is starting a revolution and going to the moon to establish a strong 4g network to boost up the speed and communications between the astronauts   About the mission Nokia has been given a second life by Nasa - in a recent $14.1m contract, awarded to Nokia’s US subsidiary, which is part of Nasa’s Artemis programme which aims to send the first woman, and next man, to the moon by 2024. OK, let's talk about the Artemis mission now.   NASA plans to send the next man and first woman to the lunar surface . The last time NASA sent humans to the Moon was in 1972, during the Apollo lunar mission. And I am very happy to be a p art of this space era.   The Finnish equipment manufacturer said it was selected by Nasa to deploy an “ultra-compact, low-power, space-hardened” wireless 4G network on the lunar surface, as part of the US space agenc
